That's no excuse to regress

People wronged you, but you knew they would
Your reaction is still not justified, you knew you shouldn't
You just wrote about this, and said you wouldn't
Your mouth moves faster than reason
Especially when dealing with treason
Just remember you do have something to believe in

Burning bridges

I'm burning bridges and not looking back
why bother fearing what comes after that
rid of the poison in the air
they will never care

nothing hurts more than witnessing deceit
considering you would give them your all
even after defeat
answering their late-night calls
missing out on sleep
Clearly, I shouldn't set standards
because they'll never meet

I understand that were human, so were fallible
but they're wicked and their actions are unacceptable
generation filled with unapologetic druggies
chasing lifestyles by using anyone they can
that's just not who I am
Never could I be a sham

rid of the poison in the air

I would take a bus, train, plane or a boat to you
remembering back then when I would speak to you
giving advice that you've probably heard
except mine is spoken word
evoked enough to free a caged bird

At first you started off great
then you got greedy
wanted more on your plate
should have been satisfied.
but you fell for the bait
of course, when I reached out it was too late

Every time you came over
you were never sober
wanted to discuss your relations
never a relation
going back and forth with you
questioning why you always gave into temptation
you said you're young and you're living
I should try as well, because I’ll be forgiven
what about the consequences that can arrive now or later
, you up and left and said I’m too serious and a hater

but you can't help those who don't want to hear
